About Andy

For 20 years I worked on the perfect migration pattern. For a while it was endless summer tour-guiding jobs around Europe and winters in the Sahara Desert. Then it became a round-the-world odyssey in a truck made of rubbish, fuelled by waste cooking oil. And for a few years it settled into an erratic annual line between the Alps, Oregon, and the Himalaya.

Now it’s the short walk from home to the BBC Broadcasting House in Belfast where I’ve been working as a reporter and investigative journalist.

On the move I’m able to find stories and images that inspire and motivate. My photographs and words have been published and broadcast around the world, on BBC TV, Radio and Online, The San Francisco Chronicle, Wired, Sports Illustrated, RedBull.com, and more.

I’m fascinated by adventure and fear, both of which I regularly expose myself to under my paraglider wing.

I’m fluent in Italian, French, and car mechanics.
